Julius Akpong had his first degree in Applied Chemistry from the University of Calabar and Masters in Disaster Risk Management and Development Studies from the Philippines. His wealth of experience has spanned over the past fifteen years across Pharmaceuticals, Oil and Gas, power generation, Construction and Aviation safety. At the Globeleq Power Solutions Nigeria Ltd where he currently works, Julius ensures the development and implementation of world class HSE policies in sales, installation, operation/maintenance and aftermarket services of Cummins lean burn gas generator sets in Independent Power Plants across Nigeria in particular and the development and implementation of policies towards the attainment of a positive safety culture across the power plants. Klaus Kersting studied chemistry and received his PhD in the field of solid state chemistry in 1991.

In 1992, he moved to the responsible institution for statutory accident insurance and accident prevention in the construction industry (BG BAU) in the department of material hazards.

He is responsible for the areas of storage and transport of hazardous substances in the construction industry. His areas of focus include reactive hazardous substances such as isocyanates and epoxy resins.

She is a Civil Engineer graduated from the Polytechnic School of the Aristotelion University of Thessaloniki with Postgraduate Education in Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) at Aston University and a Master in Public Sector Management from Cyprus International Institute of Management. She has extensive professional experience on OSH as well as on structural design, construction works including marine projects and road works. She is Senior Labour Inspection Officer, Head of Manufacturing and Construction Sections of Safety and Health Area at the Department of Labor Inspection, where he has been working since 1993. She participated in several International Conferences on OSH in Cyprus and abroad and she organized several International Conferences on Construction OSH in Cyprus. In the past, she represented Cyprus in the Technical Committee of the European Organization for Standards (CEN) for the temporary work equipment. She also represents Cyprus in Working Groups (WG) of the European Commission on Work at Height, on Construction Sites, on Subcontracting and, as Vice President of WG on Enforcement of OSH legislation. She also participated in WG for the evaluation of Labour Inspection System (L.I.) of EU Member States within the framework for the Senior Labour Inspection Committee (SLIC) L.I. Evaluation & Exchange Program. She is the 1st Vice President of Cyprus Association of Civil Engineers and member of the General Council of the Scientific and Technical Chamber of Cyprus. She is also member of the Executive Board of the International Safety and Health Construction Coordinators Association (ISHCCO).

Dipl.-Ing. Michael Kirsch is a civil engineer and also an economic engineer. He has extensive experience in the fields of safety and health at work.

He was a lecturer in a huge number of conferences, seminars and training courses and has great experience as a leader of teams.

Dipl.-Ing. Michael Kirsch is a lecturer on occupational safety and health, legal aspects and management systems at the University of Wuppertal.

Since 1991, he worked in and managed various projects and has several publications.
